Welcome

Hello there, I'm April, and I'm grateful to wear the hats of a Christian, wife, mother, veteran, and photographer. Over the past 20 years, I've been capturing life's moments through my lens, and it's been quite the journey.

It all started in my early adult years. I was inspired by my friend Julie's passion for scrapbooking, so I decided to give it a shot. This choice ignited a passion within me, pushing me to continually improve my photography skills to fill my books with truly captivating images.

Before becoming a mom, designing those books gave my life purpose. It eventually led me to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, where I learned to appreciate beauty, symmetry, and the power of visual storytelling. I've also took classes in business and digital marketing.

My time as an Army photojournalist was an honor, allowing me to use my photography skills to document challenging and profound stories. I received multiple awards for my photography, and they are a testament to my visual storytelling skills. The military instilled in me a deep sense of duty, discipline, and service, qualities that guide me in both my personal and professional life.

As a Christian, I strive to approach each day with love, compassion, and a commitment to serving others. My faith plays a significant role in how I interact with my clients and approach my work. It’s essential to me that every person who steps in front of my camera feels valued, seen, and celebrated.

Being a mom and a wife are also integral parts of who I am. My family is my greatest source of joy and inspiration, fueling my determination to create timeless and meaningful photographs. Through my experiences as a veteran, student, and mother, I have honed my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. This skill allows me to truly understand the essence of those I photograph and translate it into images that speak volumes.

In all my endeavors, whether as a photographer, a wife, a mother, or a Christian, my mission is to create beauty, foster meaningful connections, and serve with humility. I consider it an honor to be trusted with capturing life’s precious moments, and I am committed to delivering photographs that will be cherished for generations to come. Thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey.
